BETHEL BAPTIST CHURCH - Behold, I stand at the door, and knock... Rev 3:20
If you want to be saved from your sins and go to heaven there is good news, but to understand why the good news  is so good, we first have to understand the bad news about ourselves.  The fact is that we have to understand just exactly who we are.  This is not easy to tell you, friend, but...

The Bad News
You are a sinner.
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:10

The Worse News
Your sin separates you from God, who can not look upon it.  Your status as a wretched, vile sinner makes you utterly undeserving of God's mercy and grace.  Completely unable to please God with anything you can do by yourself, you would be ashamed to stand on your own pitiful merits before a Righteous, Just and Holy Creator.
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

The Worst News
Your sin is innate to your very nature, and it has a very heavy price.  Your sin pays you nothing but death and separation from God for all eternity.
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Romans 5:12
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."    Romans 6:23(a)

Some Good News
Even though you don't deserve it, God loves you very dearly.  In fact, He loves you so much that He sent His own Son Jesus Christ to pay the debt for all of your sins.  This debt, death itself, was paid by Him.  The cancellation of your debt is now offered to you as His free gift if you will accept it.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 6:23(b)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Romans 5:8

The Best News
There is nothing you have to do to receive this gift other than believe it!  Turn from your sins and trust your salvation to Jesus Christ, and He will save you!
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9-11,13
